Statement of Faith
This statement summarizes my beliefs, rooted in the Word of God, which is my ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice.
The Word of God
The Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God, inspired by Him and preserved through the Masoretic Text and Textus Receptus. The Authorized King James Version of the Bible is a superior translation of these superior texts, and is the only English Bible translation that I will defend, study, and preach from. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)
God
There is one true, living, and holy God, existing in three co-equal persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19)
God the Father
God the Father adopts all who trust in Christ as His children, providing, protecting, and disciplining them in love. (Rom. 8:14-15; Heb. 12:6)
God the Son
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of a virgin, fully God and man. Through His death, resurrection, and ascension, He is the all-sufficient Savior and our blessed hope. (John 1:1-14; 1 Thess. 4:13-18)
God the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates sinners, empowers believers for service, and seals them until the day of redemption. (John 16:13-14; Eph. 4:30)
Salvation
Salvation is entirely by God’s grace, through faith in Christ’s finished work. It is available to all who repent and believe, making them new creatures in Him. (John 3:16; Eph. 2:8-9)
The Church
The church is a local assembly of baptized believers who gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, and fulfilling the Great Commission. (Acts 2:41-42; Heb. 10:25)
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
Baptism by immersion symbolizes identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper commemorates His sacrifice and is observed in self-examination. (Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 11:26-28)
The Second Coming
Jesus Christ will physically return to reign on earth after the tribulation, establishing His millennial kingdom and ultimately conquering Satan forever. (Rev. 20:1-10)
